Stershic Wins 2015 CYSE Contest

Andrew Stershic, a third-year fellow studying civil engineering and computational mathematics at Duke University, took the 2015 Communicating Your Science & Engineering Contest's top award and was recognized at the summer's annual program review in Arlington, Virginia. He received a cash prize and gift bag, plus the opportunity to work with a professional science writer to critique and copy-edit his essay, "Building Batteries from the Microstructure Up". The finished product will also appear in the upcoming issue of DEIXIS, the DOE CSGF annual publication.

The annual CYSE competition is open to program fellows and alumni, with the goal of conveying real information, excitement and enthusiasm about computational science and engineering. Learn more about the annual essay contest and read other winning entries here.
