Contact Line Motion with Level Sets
Catherine Norman, Northwestern University
The motion of a contact line between two fluids and a solid surface is being investigated. The full Navier-Stokes equations are solved to determine fluid motion and the interface is moved with the level-set method. A variety of problems including bubbles rising and attaching to walls, drops sliding along walls, and fluids in a shear flow between moving plates, are currently under investigation. This poster will highlight some recent results.
