Fourth-order Accurate Magnetohydrodynamics Calculations in Athena++

The second-order accurate finite volume method currently used in the Athena++ astrophysics code is extended to a fourth-order accurate method. Solutions of smooth and discontinuous multi-dimensional magnetohydroydnamics test problems demonstrate the advantages and robustness of the high-order algorithm. Performance and accuracy tradeoffs are evaluated on many-core architectures.
