Veronica Perrigan
Veronica Perrigan is the Director of Engineering Career Services at the University of Maryland, where she oversees career services for the A. James Clark School of Engineering and provides leadership, program development, administration, and strategic planning for undergraduate and graduate students. She also manages post-graduation, cooperative education and internship programs while building relationships with employers in industry and government to support their college recruitment programs. As part of her duties, Perrigan negotiates placements, develops new placement sites and evaluates the quality of learning opportunities. She also serves on the campus-wide career fair committee and manages individual boutique career fairs.
Prior to her current position, Perrigan worked as the Assistant Director for Engineering Career Services for nearly 20 years. In that role she forged strong relationships with the Graduate School and other key offices to provide Ph.D. students with innovative new programs, career counseling, and career development workshops and classes.
Before joining the University of Maryland, Perrigan was a Career Development Coordinator at Towson University and a Job Placement Specialist for the Maryland State Department of Education: Division of Rehabilitation Services. Perrigan earned her master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Towson University and her bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland - College Park.
